David, today we had a trip out to Ruxley Manor Garden Centre. Brenda turned up quite unexpectedly this morning and asked us if we would like to join her for the drive. It is a lovely day and we said yes without any hesitation. The first thing we did when we got to Ruxley was to go into their cafeteria and have a coffee and bun. The last time we had a coffee at Ruxley you were with us. Paula had taken us there in her car. Memories of that occasion were mingled with joy and sadness. If only you were still with us! You would have loved it today. At that time, around November, Ruxley were preparing for Christmas and you bought some Christmas lights that you draped around the beams in your kitchen. While we were at Ruxley today we bought a new cushion for our garden bench and some plants and also did some shopping in Dennis's, the butcher. When we were there with you, last year, the shop fitters were still doing the building work for Dennis's. It is a lovely shop and you would have enjoyed going around it today, They sell everything you could imagine in the food and drink line. David, we never stop thinking about you.
