Added at Janet's request. The Chocolate Biscuit Cake recipe from the recent afternoon tea event. Chocolate Biscuit Cake 100g butter or margarine 75g golden syrup 25g cocoa powder 50g seedless raisins 200g mixed sweet biscuits, crushed For the icing: 200g milk chocolate 100g white chocolate Line a 28cm by 18cm shallow cake tin with greaseproof paper. Put the butter or margarine, syrup, cocoa and raisins into a pan and heat gently until the butter has melted. Remove from the heat and stir in the crushed biscuits. Press into the prepared tin and leave in a cool place to set. Melt the chocolate separately in basins over a pan of hot, not boiling water. Remove from the heat and pour over the cake in alternating stripes. When the biscuit mixture is completely covered draw a knife across the stripes then along the stripes until the marbling effect has been achieved. Leave until the chocolate has set, then remove the cake from the tin and cut into squares. Enjoy!!
